Founded in February 2002, the Clive Cussler Collector's Society
(CCCS) has a membership that consists of both fans and serious
collectors. Through our society, enthusiasts are able to learn
more about past, present, and future Cussler related projects
as well as locate other fans and collectors throughout the world.
Through interaction with other members and through knowledge
provided in our online publication, The Sea Dweller , members
have extensive access to bibliographic information related to
Cussler's books and other publications.
Through the CCCS, we also strive to produce and preserve an accurate
historical record of all events pertaining to Cussler, Dirk Pitt®,
NUMA, and The NUMA Files. Originally created as an informal group,
the society has now become the premier organization for people who
admire the life's work of Clive Cussler.
How You Can Help
The Clive Cussler Collector's Society welcomes all information
relating to new or undiscovered items pertaining to Clive Cussler,
Dirk Pitt®, NUMA and The NUMA Files. Members and interested
fans are encouraged to send along any Cussler references from:
- news programs
- television appearances
- radio interviews or mentions
- newspaper or magazine articles
- recommendations of other novels by Cussler (e.g. cover blubs)
- references to Cussler or his characters in other novels or reference works
- detailed bibliographic information related to Cussler's novels
Faxed copies or electronic images illustrating the reference
are most appreciated. If a copy is not available, try and provide
us a detailed description that includes who, what, when, and where.
If it's a new find, your contribution will be noted for posterity.
Don't miss your chance to find it first!
Our Corporation
The Clive Cussler Collector's Society is a Class C-Corporation
filed in the state of Oregon. Its officers are Wayne Valero
(President, Founder), and Bruce Kenfield (Secretary-Treasurer,
Co-founder). At the end of each fiscal year, the CCCS donates
five-percent of its subscription proceeds to First
Book, a national nonprofit organization whose mission is
to give children from low-income families the opportunity to
read and own their first new books.
Future Projects
Current CCCS projects include the creation of a comprehensive
database containing worldwide bibliographic information for printed
material related to Clive Cussler. In addition, we are also working
toward hosting a Clive Cussler Collector's Convention. This convention
would serve as a forum for meeting other collectors and further
network the members of CCCS.
